blazing grace
the ultimate feedback piece, it is anything using feedback as the primary substance of the sound. the main way i perform it is using 2-8 tubes with microphones in them to filter feedback from a speaker cabinet or from a house system, and then i filter that using my mixer's built-in sweepable EQ and the Magnetiz&destroye Supercollider patch. i also do it with the built-in mic of the powerbook, and using non-musical instruments as feedback pickups (glass panes, metal, piano, whatever). it's graceful chthonic audio blaze.
this piece has been officially enshrined in a Banned Productions 3" CD from a live recording on KXLU (Psychotechnics).
