score for a walk
this piece came out of conversations with Art Jarvinen about composition and chaos, and is inspired as all things are by my dog Stella and the walks we take. it evolved into a textual work that was published in Trepan last year, a pretty good piece of publishing if i may say so. i wanted to create a piece that could be performed by as many people as wanted to do it, not just me, so i created a framework that represents my working process and my daily life with the dog, and set it up as a sarcastic fun-poker at spritual and theoretical materialism, among other things. so far, my friend Sean is the only one who has said he'll do it. if anyone else is interested, read the score and email me.
